This vase is from a series of pottery I created where I experimented with slip colors, patterning, and surface texture. The slip was applied through pouring onto the vessel while on a moving wheel or directly by hands covered in slip. For this specific vase, after the slip was applied selected areas were carved and trimmed using tools after the slip had hardened.
