This vase is from a series of pottery I created where I experimented with slip colors, patterning, and surface texture. The slip was applied through pouring onto the vessel while on a moving wheel or directly by hands covered in slip. For this specific vase, the slip was applied by pouring and hand manipulation. Around the time I was experimenting with different types of footing for my pottery so this vase was also apart of those testings.
